FAQs
We've compiled a list of common FAQs to help you navigate through the various aspects of email sending.
Do you send emails on my behalf?
No, our Email App does not send emails on your behalf. Instead, we provide a powerful platform that allows you to send emails directly from your own email marketing setup.
You have full control over your email campaigns, including the sender address, domain, and content.
However, if you prefer to hire experts to manage your email campaigns, you can contact us, and our team will be happy to assist you.
Can you guarantee my emails will land in the inbox?
While we provide the tools and best practices to optimize email deliverability, the final decision lies with inbox providers (such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, and private domains). Factors like spam filters, user behavior, and reputation systems are beyond our control.
If your IP or domain is blacklisted, you can acquire new IPs/domains, and we will assist you with the replacement. Such replacements will be additionally chargeable based on the effort required.
Alternatively, you may consider our Cloud App subscription, which not only provides an advanced cloud-based email application but also includes future IP/domain replacements as part of the plan.
Kindly Note: Whenever you replace IPs/domains and start sending with new ones, a re-warmup process is required to build a strong sender reputation.
You can also enhance deliverability by integrating with external providers like Amazon SES, Mailgun, or SparkPost. By following our recommended strategies, we can significantly improve your chances of reaching the inbox.

Is there a limit to the number of contacts I can import?
No, there is no limit to the number of contacts you can import into the platform. You can import as many contacts as needed, depending on your server's capacity and performance. The system allows unlimited imports as long as your server can handle the load efficiently.
What is SMTP?
SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. It’s a system that helps send emails from one server to another over the internet.
You can think of it like a postal service for emails—when you send an email, SMTP helps deliver it to the recipient's inbox.
In the context of our Email App, SMTP allows you to send emails through your own server. You can use our Email App to set up your own SMTP server, which gives you control over your email sending process. We will set up SMTPs according to your server configuration plan, utilizing multiple IPs and domains in rotation for optimal performance.
Can I replace my IPs/domains?
Yes, you can replace your IPs and domains. This is important because if your email sending practices aren’t good or your IP gets blacklisted, your emails might be marked as spam.
What is IP/domain blacklisting?
IP or domain blacklisting happens when an email service provider or spam filter marks your email address, domain, or IP as suspicious. This usually happens if you're sending a lot of unsolicited emails or if recipients mark your emails as spam.
Once blacklisted, your emails are more likely to be sent straight to the spam folder, or worse, blocked entirely.
What are external delivery servers?
External delivery servers are third-party email services that help you send your emails. Some examples are Amazon SES, Mailgun, and SparkPost. These services handle the technical side of email delivery, so you don’t have to worry about managing your own SMTP servers or IPs.
You can either use our SMTP service or connect your external delivery servers like Amazon SES or Mailgun for even higher deliverability rates. These services often have larger infrastructures and better reputation management to help ensure your emails land in the inbox.
Note: External delivery services come with an additional cost, often based on the number of emails sent or volume of traffic.
How is BulkEmailSetup different from other email service providers like Mailchimp?
BulkEmailSetup stands out from traditional email service providers like Mailchimp by offering a self-hosted, one-time setup solution with complete control over your email infrastructure. BulkEmailSetup provides a fixed number of IPs, domains, and SMTPs based on your server setup plan, giving you full ownership of your email delivery system.
Key Differences Between BulkEmailSetup and Mailchimp
1. Full Control Over Your Email Infrastructure
Mailchimp uses its own shared email delivery servers, meaning you rely on their infrastructure and must follow their sending policies. With BulkEmailSetup, you own and operate your own SMTP servers, allowing you to configure and optimize them as per your needs.
2. High-Volume Sending Without Restrictions
Mailchimp imposes daily and monthly sending limits and has strict policies against cold emailing. BulkEmailSetup allows you to send emails freely, as long as your SMTPs, IPs, and domains support the volume—making it ideal for businesses that need high-volume sending capabilities.
3. No Subscriber-Based Pricing
Mailchimp charges based on the number of subscribers in your list, meaning costs rise as your list grows. With BulkEmailSetup, there’s no limit on the number of contacts you can import—you can manage unlimited lists without additional costs.
4. Flexible SMTP and Delivery Server Options
With Mailchimp, you can only use their built-in email delivery system. BulkEmailSetup gives you the freedom to: ✅ Use your own SMTPs (created during the setup process). ✅ Integrate external providers like Amazon SES, Mailgun, or SparkPost for improved deliverability.
5. Domain and IP Management
Unlike Mailchimp, where you have no control over the email-sending IPs, BulkEmailSetup allows you to: ✅ Assign dedicated IPs and domains for sending. ✅ Rotate IPs and domains to improve deliverability (depending on your setup). ✅ Replace blacklisted IPs/domains (for an additional cost).
Note: If your IP or domain is blacklisted, you can acquire new ones, and our team will assist with the replacement. Such replacements may be additionally chargeable, depending on the effort required.
Alternatively, you can consider our Cloud App subscription, which includes future IP/domain replacements as part of the plan.
Important: When replacing IPs/domains, a re-warmup process is required to establish sender reputation before scaling up sending volume.
6. Ideal for Cold Emailing
Mailchimp does not support cold emailing and has strict list verification policies that can lead to account suspensions. BulkEmailSetup, on the other hand, is designed for cold mailing and provides: ✅ Custom SMTPs with dedicated IPs ✅ Support for multiple domains ✅ No restrictions on list size or sending limits
Why Choose BulkEmailSetup?
One-time setup cost.
Complete ownership & customisation
Flexible SMTP & delivery server integration
No restrictions on contact lists or subscribers
Optimised for cold emailing & high-volume campaigns
Final Thoughts
BulkEmailSetup is the perfect solution for businesses that need control, flexibility, and cost-effective email marketing. Unlike Mailchimp, which imposes sending limits, subscriber-based fees, and third-party infrastructure restrictions, BulkEmailSetup gives you full autonomy over your email system—making it a superior choice for businesses looking to scale their outreach efficiently.
